Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Hey everyone! PK here!
I hope you are all enjoying this Labor Day Weekend.
We are continuing live, in-person worship on Sundays in September.
Today I offer you a prayer based on Psalm 62, God is Our Rock and Our Fortress

My soul finds rest in God alone.
God alone is my rock, my saving grace, my fortress.
I shall never be shaken.
Dear God, we have all been shaken. May we find rest in your refuge?
Bless our school children as they learn to learn in new ways.
Bless our educators as they teach each other how to teach in new ways.
Bless our workers that have lost their work.
Bless our first responders who respond to the needs of others first.
Bless the healers who put themselves in the trust of the angels of mercy.
Bless the sick and the hurting. Bless us with health and healing.
Dear God, you are our strength and shield.
All our hope comes from you.
May we find rest for our souls?
We place our trust in you.
We pour out our hearts to you.
We pray continually with you…

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

HYMN A Mighty Fortress Is Our God

May the Lord bless you and keep you and grant you a deep and enduring peace. Amen.
