Good morning and welcome to the OCC. We pray you and your loved ones are healthy and doing well. This morning we continue our in-person, live service outdoors at the church at 10:00am. Weather permitting we are hoping to offer our live service through October. For your Sunday online devotions we offer you beautiful music and a meditative beach walk! Enjoy!

HYMN             For All The Saints

I cry aloud to God and God will hear me. In the day of trouble I seek the Lord. I said, “Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.

Hey Everyone! PK here. I hope you are settling in to your new fall routines of school and work and play. It’s different times for sure. And, I know that some of you are having a hard time adjusting. The Bible tells us that when we face trouble, we can call on the Lord to help. Even if we are up at night worrying, we can turn that time into a quiet meditation with God. Being still, start to wonder about how God helps us. God does big things by sending us beautiful people who help us along the way. We call these folks the saints of God. The saints of God teach us about love. They lift us up when we are down. They rescue us from danger. They give us good things when we need them most. And, the saints of God watch over us and protect us so that we may find a gentle rest even at times we are worried and stressed out. Meditating is a great way to connect to God and to remember how the special people God has sent to us have shown us the way to go. Sometimes we might feel that God and the saints are far away and we can’t see them. Yet when we meditate, they come back to us as if they were walking beside us and holding our hand. Whenever you have a difficult day, it will be okay, take a moment to pray, and to think of all the wonderful people you love so much. God indeed has done great things for us and will continue to do great things. Take care, and hang in there, you are doing great. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
