Junior/Senior High Youth

Pilgrim Fellowship is a youth group for Jr. and Sr. high that focuses on efforts to give back to our local communities through volunteer efforts, fundraising activities and raising awareness within our church and local towns. An important part of the youth group is community.

We gather weekly on Sundays after Church Service at 11:30 upstairs in the youth group rooms. This year we will be combining the Jr. and Sr. High to worship together and plan events as one team. We welcome anyone in Jr. and Sr. High who would like to join us for conversation, fun activities, and the planning of upcoming events. If your child is interested in being a part of a teen group that has fun while supporting the community and each other, please reach out to Charlotte Capone, Pilgrim Fellowship Director, in order to be added to the email list or feel free to stop by a meeting after service on Sunday. Meetings start Sunday September 8th at 11:30!

Upcoming Activities for the 2019-2020 Church Year:

Crop walk for Hunger, which is an annual gathering of local groups who fundraise and raise awareness to help local efforts to end hunger in our communities. The walk is a 5k on a date TBD in the fall.

HAW Homeless Awareness Weekend (Wrentham),is an event we’ve been participating in as a church for the last decade. The event is a three day effort to raise awareness and fundraise to help local homeless shelters, food pantries and homeless organizations. – Friday night we will be hosting a service for several churches to attend where we talk about the importance of the weekend ahead and share in fellowship together. – Saturday we put together hygiene kits for local homeless shelters to hand out with a home cooked lunch prepared by the kitchen elves and other church family volunteers while the teens pan handle in Wrentham center. – Sunday morning we participate in the church service and share our experiences over the weekend with our church family. – Friday and Saturday night we sleep out in front of the church in boxes (weather permitting). This raises awareness while also helping the teens to put themselves in someone else’s shoes for a couple of nights. The HAW takes place on Veteran’s Day weekend November 8th – 10th

Soup Kitchen (Attleboro). This year I would also like to incorporate a Soup Kitchen volunteer opportunity on Thursday night in Attleboro.)

Church Renovations (creating our space). The Pilgrim Fellowship will be taking over the three rooms upstairs and redecorating the old nursery as our own storage/hang out/classroom space. The nursery has moved downstairs to be included with the other church classrooms. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Pilgrim Fellowship and really design a space that suits the needs of our group.    This year we are working with the Children’s Education Director, Melissa Boucher, to restructure our church rooms.

Children’s Fair at the OCC and a possible Mission trip.

Looking forward to a year full of opportunity and adventure!
